The Homestead is a recently renovated farmhouse located three miles from Killorglin Town along the
beautiful Ring of Kerry. The house is situated on a working dairy and beef farm close to the where the
Kerry Woollen Mills Factory is situated.
The house is secluded with trees and is very private.

The Homestead has four bedrooms, an en suite double and single room interconnected, a double room
and a single room, and so can accommodate a family of 6 people. The sitting room has an open fire,
electric storage heater, colour television and video. The dining room has an oil range cooker and
electric heater. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including electric cooker,
dishwasher and microwave. The utility room is equipped with clothes washing and drying machines. There
is oil fired and electric heating in the house.

The Homestead - Seanabhaile is located three miles from Killorglin, the home of Puck Fair, which is
held annually on the 10th - 12th of August. The fair is intrinsically linked with Killorglin Town and
so a bronze sculpture of King Puck was erected in 2000 to commemorate Puck Fair.
Killorglin Town is the gateway to the naturally beautiful areas of Caragh Lake (9km long and 1.5km
wide), Glencar and the fishing village of Cromane. These areas are paradise to the fisherman and
the lover of fine scenery.

Killorglin Town is also the gateway to the beautiful Ring of Kerry which is known worldwide for its
heritage sites and stunning scenery. The Ring of Kerry is a 112 miles journey and covers the towns
Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Kells, Caherciveen, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Castlecove, Sneem, Kenmare and
Killarney.
There are quite a number of heritage and archeological sites on the Ring of Kerry. Any information
which you may require regarding these sites or information on tours which you propose to undertake

Close to The Homestead lies the Kerry Woollen Mills, a wonderful old stone building which dates
back to the 17th Century when King Charles II of England granted a charter to merchant Edward Sealy
to establish a woollen manufacturing industry. A full range of woollen manufacturing takes place at
the factory to-date. There is a factory shop located on the premises and the public are welcome to
visit.
There are many visitor attractions located close to The Homestead including Kerry Woollen Mills,
Ballymalis Castle, Kate Kearneys Cottage and the Gap of Dunloe making it a perfect touring base.

How To Get Here
From Killarney: Take the N72 (killarney/killorglin road)for approximately eight miles until you
arrive at a signpost for the Kerry Woollen Mills on the righthand side of the road, take a right tuen
and at first crossroads take left and drive down to fifth house on the left which is The Homestead (Seanabhaile).
There is a Virginian creeper plant growing on the gable wall and all doors and windows are painted
red.
